Malashenko at that time was engaged in the presidential election and went headlong into this work. For a while, he moved away from the control of the channel, and when he returned to the performance of his duties, he suddenly saw that at a meeting of Gusinsky his word costs as much as the word Kiselev.

The conflict received further development when discussing the future canal policy when it gets a big air. Before the presidential election, the broadcast was with and after the elections, as if for "success in production", the authorities awarded the company with an air from six in the morning. I remember how in September we gathered in London for a meeting. I, Malashenko, the financial director of the company and the head of the Video of the Internet, insisted that you could not move to Russian CNN.

Kiselev, on the contrary, insisted on this. He said that neither programs nor films are needed - only news. I also think to this day that this opinion is erroneous, if only because all this requires huge financial costs. So, a minute of news live broadcast, for example, with Chechnya costs 30 thousand and it was also aggravated by the fact that the team suddenly went in the team.

Then Kiselev and Dobrodeev turned out to be on the one hand, and Malashenko and Arsenyev on the other. Gusinsky chose Russian CNN, despite all financial difficulties and legislative deficiencies. This is where the internal split occurred. We usually did not talk about him, but he was. Already in the year, this abyss increased and increased. Malashenko was moved away from the leadership of the channel.

Although the positions remained the same, the former unity no longer existed. Gusinsky at that time, in my opinion, had to somehow be humbled, but he is an emotional person, fascinated. He, as a director, was allowed to change the actors. That is, the people who make NTV were simply actors for Gusinsky: he wanted - changed the composition. This led to serious personnel errors.

He changed people too often, and this offends. After all, many started this business with it. And Gusinsky was left without those with whom he could consult and consulted until then. And we have not taken into account this. When NTV has gained great authority, the authorities began to be afraid of us. And cases on our side like: “And now we are like you like people as say so we will put you up in the“ right ”light” significantly more frequent.

A reception known in the world of the media, but everything should have a measure. The feeling of proportion is important. Then there was no proportion, and we see the consequences of this today. Why did it take money from power structures, substituting itself under the state knife? And if you took it, then why, then, to “run into” and create conflicts?

I will also add about incomprehensible “stagnation”, when there was an opinion around NTV that the channel helps Luzhkov and Primakov. So the latter thought, but it was not the NTV policy. Gusinsky, however, did not arrange in this situation all the points over than put everyone in an uncomfortable position. In m, it seems that they first supported Luzhkov and Primakov, who were taken and changed to Yeltsin.In the elections of the year they helped Yavlinsky, but did not put on an apple.

Such stagnation led the channel to a kind of political bankruptcy. Gusinsky had to flexibly enter those moments when the business is in contact with politics. Everyone knows how many amazing tapes were made at the Dovzhenko film studio and at the Odessa film studio. Today, for me, as a producer and a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, it is very interesting to establish contacts with Ukraine to develop precisely these industries.

After all, the country did not imprison on talents. I think that we are quite capable of creating jointly strong and interesting projects for the viewer. You can even boast of cooperation with him. But this is an isolated case, and we want such cooperation to develop, so that other creative people of Ukraine are connected to projects. Today we are already discussing the continuation of the Bourgeois Birthday, we are talking about the possibility of launching a project under the working name “Better not Know”, which can become a kind of Slavic prototype X-Files.

We plan that the first ten episodes will be shot this year. We are sure that, having seen enough of the Western tapes, people already want their hero, and so that the “secret materials” are also closer to their homeland. I think that if we do this together, then success awaits us both in Ukraine and in Russia.
